EAA AVIATION CENTER, OSHKOSH, Wis. - (Nov. 24, 2004) - A festive atmosphere, holiday music from local musicians, and enjoyment for all ages are part of one of the area’s most unique holiday traditions - the 21st annual “Christmas in the Air” open house - which will take place at the EAA AirVenture Museum in Oshkosh on Monday, Dec. 13 from 2:30-8 p.m.
EAA’s free Christmas program features performances by musical groups from the Oshkosh area, along with other activities and refreshments in the museum. The performers’ schedule is as follows (subject to additions and change without notice):
3:00 - Berlin H.S. Madrigal Singers;
4:00 - Oshkosh Symphony Orchestra;
4:30 - Menasha H.S. Madrigal Singers
5:00 - SANTA CLAUS (at Wright Flyer area through 8 p.m.)
5:00 - Oshkosh Suzuki Music Program; Oshkosh North H.S. Madrigal Singers
5:30 - Neenah H.S. Madrigal Singers; Oshkosh Brass Quintet
6:00 - Ripon H.S. Swing Choir; Act 2 Show Choir
6:30 - Ripon H.S. Vocal Jazz Group; Oshkosh Youth Choir
7:00 - Ripon H.S. Jazz Band
Last year, more than 3,000 people attended an evening of holiday festivities. Santa Claus will be arriving at the event at about 5 p.m. via helicopter. In case of inclement weather, Santa will arrive through his traditional methods. In addition, the EAA AirVenture Museum is open free of charge, with numerous merchandise specials in the Museum gift shops throughout the evening, just in time for holiday shopping.
The EAA AirVenture Museum is located just off Highway 41 at the Highway 44 exit in Oshkosh.
