B-17 in Museum

December 14, 2002: For the first time since 1997, our airworthy B-17 Flying Fortress Aluminum Overcast is on display in the Museum. The B-17 has recently returned from an 8-month tour of the USA, and will be displayed in the Eagle Hangar for the holiday season, prior to its annual winter maintenance. The airplane's interior will be open for tours during regular open hours allowing visitors to inspect the immaculately restored interior and exterior of one of World War II’s most famous aircraft. There will be no extra charges for the B-17 tours, but donations to help support the operation of the airplane will be appreciated. The airplane will be displayed until January 31, 2003.
