Christmas in the Air 2002

December 10, 2002. The holiday spirit was in full swing in Oshkosh on Monday, December 9 during EAA’s 19th annual Christmas in the Air Open House, held in the AirVenture Museum. Visitors—a record number 3,150—are no doubt still humming the many holiday tunes enthusiastically presented by local orchestras, choirs, and bands. As promised, Santa arrived EAA style via the Bell-47 helicopter at 5:00 p.m. And it’s unlikely anyone went home disappointed after sampling the free refreshments and consulting with Santa near the Wright Flyer until 8:00 p.m. Next year…number 20
