Receive Half-off Admission with Public
Enemies Advance Screening Movie Stub
|
|
|
This is
your chance to see where a Hollywood movie was filmed! Portions of the
new Johnny Depp movie, Public Enemies, were filmed at Pioneer
Airport in 2008. EAA's Ford Tri-Motor also had starring role in the
film. The movie hits theaters July 1, but Marcus Amphitheaters and The
Oshkosh Northwestern arranged for the film to be shown in Oshkosh,
Milwaukee, and Madison on June 30 for a special screening. The EAA
AirVenture Museum is offering half-off admission when you present your
movie ticket stub.
|
 |
|
This promotion is not
valid with other offers, and expires on July 25, 2009. EAA has also
donated two rides in the Ford Tri-Motor and two rides in our vintage
biplanes for a raffle associated with this special movie showing. A full
day of events is planned by local Oshkosh businesses and community
organizations that were also involved in the movie. To commemorate this
special event, EAA will have a biplane fly over downtown Oshkosh at
1 p.m., and prior to the 7 p.m. start of the movie.

soldiers to life-saving medical facilities. Be a part of the weekend
ground school exploring this unique aircraft that has been a major part
of our history and popular culture. Modules will include rotorcraft
aerodynamics, Bell 47 systems, utility helicopter operations, and a Bell

B-17 Fantasy Flight Camp

|
|
Fly in one
of America's most famous military airplanes! Each flight experience will
be approximately 40 minutes, of which about 24 minutes will be in the
air. Once the B-17 is airborne, you will be allowed to walk about the
bomber. Take time to visit the various compartments of the aircraft and
experience what it may have been like in WW II. Sit as bombardier in the
nose, stand as a waist gunner, or monitor flight activity as a flight
engineer. You will be allowed to observe the pilots, but due to FAA
regulations will not be allowed to sit at the controls. |
