The EAA
AirVenture Museum in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, is hosting a series of free
community history workshops for history enthusiasts, teachers,
researchers, students, and the general public. These workshops will
discuss the human elements of the story of flight in America, and how
flight has impacted the nation's social, political, and economic
history. |
|
Dr. Peggy
Chabrian, president and founder of Women in Aviation International,
speaks about female pioneer pilots such as Amelia Earhart and the on the
history of airline flight attendants. The speaker series is supported
through a grant from the Wisconsin Humanities Council.

The EAA Young Eagles Camp is designed as an introduction to the
wonderful world of aviation. This new program will use small group
activities and close counselor relationships to present the basics of
flight in a "science camp" format that is a unique combination

around the world for the famous EAA AirVenture Oshkosh Fly-In, AND for
incredible programs for young people. Thanks to a generous donation from
two of our Milwaukee-area supporters, we can offer the following
"Spread Your Wings" scholarships at no cost!

"Spread
Your Wings Camp" - up to 25 scholarships (valued at $900 each)
are available for a special session of the EAA Air Academy resident camp
in Oshkosh August 9 - 13, 2010. You'll spend four nights in the
EAA Air Academy Lodge with all meals, accommodation, and activities
provided. You'll make friends with other people of your age while
discovering aviation, with flight experiences, hands-on activities, and
much more! (All 2010 high school seniors, juniors and sophomores in
Milwaukee, Waukesha, Ozaukee, Racine, Sheboygan, and Washington counties
are eligible to apply.) Space is limited for each program, so contact EAA
today for more information and an application.
