1932 HEATH LNA-40 Super Parasol NC12814

The Heath Parasol is a single-place open cockpit monoplane. During the late 1920s and early 1930s it was the only airplane that could be constructed at home from a factory-built kit and be licensed by the FAA. The Heath was extremely popular, being economical to build and operate, and great fun to fly. The factory produced an unknown number of kits and several complete planes of which NC12814 is an example. This aircraft holds a current FAA registration number of N16GR.

Kit built by Heath Aircraft Corporation of Niles, MI. ATC 487 granted 6-3-32.

Donated by: Gary Rudolph, Vincennes, IN
