EAA AirVenture Museum

EAA AirVenture Museum in Oshkosh, WI, cordially invites you to Hops & Props, a fine food and beverage-tasting event. Sample over 100 different extraordinary beverages provided by micro-breweries and distributors from across the region. Learn about the brewing process and history, and become a discerning beverage taster. Funds raised will support the community programming offered by EAA to resident's in the Fox Valley Region - programs that engage families in activities, educational opportunities, and experiences that motivate and inspire participants at all ages. You must be 21 years of age to attend. Admission price includes museum entrance, a commemorative tasting glass, a professionally prepared tasting guide, hot and cold hors d'oeuvres live music, and much more. VAN’S RV-3
The RV-3 homebuilt was designed by Dick VanGrunsven as a “total performance airplane” – to do as many things as possible as well as possible. Its simple construction and the attention to aerodynamic detail produced an aircraft capable of high cruise speeds, low landing speeds, short field capability and aerobatic performance. A large cockpit with good visibility and stable handling characteristics make it a favorite among pilots. The Museum’s prototype RV-3, has been followed by the RV-4, RV-6, RV-7, RV-8, and RV-9 with several thousands of all models built. Learn more in the Van’s RV-3 prototype virtual exhibit.

Family Flightfest

For the past 25 years Barry has illustrated Flying magazine’s monthly feature “I Learned About Flying From That”. These accounts of pilot’s sometimes hair-raising, sometimes funny and always educational experiences are the basis for the paintings that are featured here. He has tried to evoke both the risk and thrill of flight, capture the moment when things have gone awry, and yet give the viewer a hopeful feeling that the crisis will be satisfactorily resolved.
