BUGATTI MODEL 100
Designed in France in 1937 for the Bugatti Auto Company by Louis D. de Monge, the mysterious Model 100 was initially intended to be a single engine air racer. However, during the design process, the decision was made to mount two engines and go for the world’s three-kilometer speed record. Unfortunately, the Bugatti Racer was never flown. It was lowered from a window of a Paris furniture factory just before German troops occupied the city and was hidden away during WW II.
